Son was coughing one night and I gave it to him. No coughing through out night at all he was able to sleep . Gave it to him like 2/3 times and he is better already

Works but tastes horrible!
It taste horrible, but then all cough medicines do. It did take care of my symptoms enough that it allowed me to sleep. I got the children’s one because of the alcohol free aspect of it. Over all it did what it was supposed to do.

Dimetapp is a great brand, but let me tell you what my 5-year-old does not like it, and I tried it. It is horrible tasting, And it made her groggy. I tried it, it is absolutely horrible as far as the taste goes works but horrible tasting, And I do not like the fact that it makes her groggy

OTC medication
Tbh, I am having a hard time finding any OTC cold, cough, and/ or flu medication that works on my child. However, she takes this one the easiest as far as taste is concerned.

Red grape flavor tastes nasty for the kid who refuses to take it. The regular grape flavor is accepted just fine.
Why make a medicine for kids with such nasty flavor?
