   ** ALL POISON IVY-OAK-SUMAC SUFFERS **
   READ THIS….
   My husband uses THIS Calamine Lotion every year when the weather gets warmer and Poison Ivy, Poison Oak %26 Poison Sumak are growing quickly. He is highly allergic to Poison Ivy %26 Poison Oak and his job requires him to be outside and around it daily. In the evenings he will take a shower then soak in a bath of Menthol %26 Eucalyptus Epsom salt ( wal-mart brand works great) and Dawn dishwashing liquid ( wal-mart brand works good).
   When he’s done, he lightly towel dries and when he’s dry he uses this Calamine Lotion on his arms, torso, legs, feet, face, wherever needed.
   He only uses it in the evening before bed, because he uses Iva-Rest by Bandaid brand during the day, Ivy-Rest is a miracle worker for covering and drying up pimples too. This Calamine is much cheaper than a name brand and works just a good, my husband qualifies as an expert!
   oh p.s. – he uses the Blue Dishwashing Liquid Soap because it literally binds to oils and dissipates them. The oils from the poison ivy, etc. are what spread it over your body and I use the soap in the Laundry as well to remove these oils from his work clothing and our bath towels. Just a little helpful hint to anyone suffering and can’t find a solution.
   It’s taken us years and years to find a solution for him, the terrible itching and sores would last 3 months and now the only last maybe 2 weeks.

   Works so well. I should have tried the clear one but this is helping a lot!! I developed a big rash on the back of my neck from using a new liquid body wash. This helps sooth the itching and does dry out my skin. But with a moisturizer added on top of it, it feels very nice. I let the calamine lotion dry first. Then add the moisturizer. It dries into a stark whitish color, so quite noticeable wherever it is added. But the more product I’ve applied has seemed to accelerate the healing of the rash on the back of my neck.

   this is definitely one to keep in your medicne cabinets. the relief it gives your skin from hives, chicken pox, shingles and other conditions is amazing and worth having it.
   puts a stop to the itch and allows drying and healing in a more comfortable less suffering way.

   Good product!
   I have edema which the professionals use what is called unna boots. They have calamine in them but are rather expensive. My daughter came up with the idea of soaking soft roll in calamine in place of the unna boot and finishing up with a net wrap and coban as would normally be with the unna boot. It works wonderful!

   Bug bite relief
   This stuff is a game changer when it comes to bug bites! We were camping and the bugs bit my daughter horribly. I remembered as a child my grams use to buy calamine lotion and rubbing it on bug bites. It helps stop the itch and heals them faster. It does leave a pink dry look on your legs, but its a protective barrier so for me that pink does matter.

   Watery And Ineffective For Itching Rashes
   Extremely watery. Does not cover itchy area with a nice coat of calamine pink. Worthless if you have a rash (poison ivy, sumac, etc..) Or bug bites.

   i did not like that they substitute my clear lotion with the calamine pink. not happy at all and when i opened it to break the seal it was already removed not happy at all

   Not the same
   The old calamine worked. It was thicker and stopped the itch. This stuff was so thin and that was my first clue. So bad that I’m throwing it out. Didn’t stop the itch at all no matter how much I put on.

    The consistency is very watery and difficult to apply to the skin.. The original product (calamine) is best!
