[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Hello Kitty ‘Still Peeking’ Loofah by Franco Manufacturing Company kids bath products from Influenster in exchange for my review.
There were many options to choose from but my son likes cats and who doesn’t like sanrio characters? It says it’s for ages 3 and up, and although it’s smaller than an adult one, I still find this to be a decent size.
The loofah itself feels pretty full, not at all skimpy. The Hello Kitty face detail has good quality stitching. It doesn’t look like it will fall apart easily, which I like.
I never purchased a kid’s loofah before, so I am not sure if the character serves any specific purpose other than decorative. If anything, I find using it as a handle convenient so that it does not slip out of the hand as easily, especially for a small child.
Since loofahs are generally bacteria magnets, my only issue is that the character’s face takes longer to dry and more difficult to rinse off. The pricepoint is also a bit higher than a regular loofah. I think it’s a fun idea and definitely good quality, but I consider it a splurge item. I think once in a while would be fine, but I would still opt for a plain one for sanitary reasons.
