Many of the negative reviews for this item are because some of those people purchased the wrong item. They were expecting the original which is “icy” and “hot”. This is the lidocaine version and it works really well for my knee which aches terribly at night. There is no hot or cold sensation associated with this one and also no smell! I will always keep it on hand.

This product is one of the best pain relievers on the planet and took the pain away that i had in my neck and shoulder instantly and it was delivered quickly from your store as well. I can always count on Wal-Mart for fast delivery and courteous service !

I decided to give this a try despite the reviews. I have a rare autoimmune disease that affects my muscles, sort of like Ms. I use it on my arms and legs at the time to see if it would work as I just worked out at the gym. and after a couple hours I realized it wasn’t working so I had to take some pain reliever. I then dug out my original, old Icy Hot. I wasn’t sure if it was a psychological thing or not. Another day, my daughter came home from a bunch of school activities and she was very sore so she asked if she can have some Icy Hot. I gave her the Maximum Strength Icy Hot and she put it on her thighs. After a while, she asked me why it wasn’t working. I never said anything to her or influenced her about whether or not it would work or not and she felt the same way I did, it didnt work. She’s in middle school if that says anything. So if it ain’t working for her as a pain reliever, it certainly won’t work for an adult. I don’t know why they even say this as maximum, the original works better. It is all psychological if it works for you because it certainly didn’t work for me. A roll on for regular Icy Hot would be the best compromise, I did like the fact you didnt have to apply it on your hands. But thats it.

always used the Original Icy Hot. Thought I would try this roll on version. what a waste of time and money. Used to do like its name be hot or warm and then cool off. This mess wouldnt feel warm to a flee. didnt relieve any pain, nor did it ever give the warm cooling feeling of it working after using 5 or 6 times in a span of 30 minutes… buy something else if you are expecting relief from pain like th eoriginal stuff used to give.

Icy Hot Max Topical Pain Reliever-Worthless!
This product costs roughly $10.00. Take the $10.00 and burn it, buy dinner with it or have a nice drink with it but buying this Icy Hot product is a total waste of a swell $10.00 bill. The Walmart brand eQuate sells is 1000% better than this product. You could do better putting luke-warm water on your muscle pain spot, trust me, this product is a total waste.

this did not procude any effect what so ever. i shook it well just in case. i cleaned the skin before application. tried this more than once. no icy, no hot, no pain relief at all. theres something wrong w the product. tried contacting the manufacturer to no avail. so im stuck with an expensive bottle of nothing.

I don’t know what was in this bottle I received but it was NOT icy hot!!!! didn’t feel a thing when I used it. and it didn’t even SMELL LIKE icy hot. terrible.

My doctors response to the question does it do anything “It gives you something to do with your hands” He was right, that’s pretty much all it did. No pain relief from arthritis in my knees. I’m so sick of spending money on crap in the pharmacy dept. !

This item is not as powerful as the original on. Do not feel it at all and very sticky being max vs the original. do not recommend it
