    It did the trick
This was recommended by my dermatologist after he excised a lipoma. I healed fairly well, so I’ll guess it did the trick. The consistency is similar to any antibiotic ointment, but not as greasy or thick as Vaseline.

    Polysporin vs Neosporin
I’ve been a Neosporin user for many, many years. However … following a recent minor surgical procedure, my surgeon VERY STRONGLY suggested that I use Polysporin rather than Neosporin to address my need for N antibiotic ointment … the reason being that when one of the three active ingredients of Neosporin is used on bare skin OUTSIDE an “open wound” area, the effect can sometimes be sufficiently harsh as to inflame (to some degree) the bare skin with which it comes in contact. Indeed … the surgeon’s actual words were “Do NOT use Neosporin” (nor its store-brand equivalents).

    Polysporin Ointment is awesome!
Polysporin Ointment helps all my cuts, or cat / dog scratches, faster than anything I have used. Cover with a bandaid %26 helps heal so quickly I can basically stop bandaging after a couple days. Better than triple antibiotic due to irritation from that third ingredient neomycin. So as a former pharmacist I just stick with Polysporin.

    Doctor recommended
I used this after surgery because my doctor recommended it over the other popular brands for my sutures. It is the brand I use now for all cuts and scrapes as well!

If Neosporin bothers your skin Try this.
because of one of the ingredients in Neosporin which reacted with my skin i’ve changed to Polysporin instead which is just as good and does not bother my skin.

    First Aid Kit Must-Have
Normally I use the name brand that starts with the letter N but I’ve known people who have had allergic reactions to it so I switched to polysporin . Great size and will do what I need, which is go into my toolbox turned first aid kit.

It’s easy to apply and not messy.
I like Polysporin so much better than Neosporin. You notice a change in your wound right away. Polysporin takes the soreness away and does not burn or sting when you apply it.
